How to convert more sales using video

Over the next few minutes I’m going to show you how our clients use video to convert more sales.

Who needs to know this?

Well, you’re certainly in the right place if your brand has a complex brand or service. It could be that you are frustrated by a slow and long-winded conversion process and how long it is taking you to convert – or you’re simply maybe not converting in the numbers you’re expecting to.

What do you need?

Well, all the tech you need is an email address.  The other thing you need is a sales team who are willing to partake in the creation of their own content. They also need to have the ability to follow a strict sales process.

What videos do you need to get results?

You’re obviously going to be interested in hearing about the types of video that will speed up sales, so here’s a few ideas for you. Firstly, product or explainer videos that simplify or explain your product or service. Another good choice is a video that addresses FAQs or the typical objections that your target market might have against using you. Thirdly, supporting information about how to best use your product or service. And, last but not least a video that gives a good introduction to your team and builds rapport and trust is always a smart choice.

But do these actually work?

Well, here’s an example of how one of our members, John from DPI Europe, is using video to in a sales process to convert more leads

The problem video solved for DPI

Our business is strategic consultancy – but we’re different. We use various frameworks to apply with different scenarios. At the end of the day, our clients will have a much clearer strategy.

The problem we have is that can be difficult to communicate this. Video is our solution. The first quarter of 2018 is set to be our biggest yet – bigger even than the first half of 2017. There can be no doubt that this is because of video.

When I’m networking, presenting, or at an event, and I’m having a conversation with someone, I simply ask for their and card and promise to send them a video in an email with something that might be useful for their business.

We have made 20 videos with Business Film Booth that really dissects all the essence of what we do into two-minute chunks. I send this out to prospects and it keeps the dialogue going. Our business has taken off.

How did he did do it?

So, that’s what John is doing but how is he doing it? John is using YouTube as his preferred platform so that he can build playlists that he can put back in front of people.

The YouTube playlist means that people will carry on and watch a number of other videos one they’ve watched the first one that’s just been sent to them. In fact, we’ve noticed an engagement rate of 89% on these playlists. We can promise you that’s quite unusual for YouTube.

So, these prospects are getting the right information at the right time – and they are pre-qualified by John because of the conversation. In fact. It feels like an extension to the chat they’ve been having.

At each stage of the sales funnel, John will reconnect using a video on the topic. This deepens the conversation regarding that part of the service or product and converts more leads.

The best kept secret of video

Something that goes hand in hand with this type of sales process is that you’ve doubled or tripled (at least) the number at times that people feel that they’ve met you. We can guarantee that when you walk into a sales meeting after they have watched a number of your videos, they will feel like they know you.

And, to be fair, they do.
