1. Video is useless

Video is an amplifier, not the solution on its own.  Stories, information and personalities are the things that work to gain attention and hold it.

3. Knowing your viewers is everything 

Making a video for the wrong audience won’t just waste your money, you’ll come across as boring and, well, pretty unhelpful.  Spend time working out what your viewers care about. Then talk in their language on their level.

5. Consistency and repetition will prevail  

Every platform from social media to e-mail is over crowded.  Your voice won’t get heard without consistent communication repeated in different and entertaining ways using video. This has always been the case, it’s just that video is the relatively new kid on the block.
