Communication is key in every area of business. We like to recognise our client’s creativity, accomplishments, brainwaves and bravery through a month award called Booth of the month.

We choose 3 finalists each month who we feel have produced a piece of video communication that entertains, educates, informs or differentiates. The finalists then go to the public vote and the winner in to the Booth video of the year awards every November.

We hope their comms inspires you to get creative and tell your own business stories.

Why they made the finals

The chances are if you’re reading this, you’re not an expert in glue, if you are, welcome to the site.

The reason this video makes for excellent communication is because of the creative way it makes a point. You see, glue like this usually gets very, very hot, which means its dangerous and the heating is expensive.

The Alphabond team developed a glue that gives excellent results with less danger and running costs but just saying this, would be dull and too obvious.

Comparing it to an everyday drink like a cup of tea gives it a creative spin which provides entertainment and follows the golden rule of “show, don’t tell.”

It’s a lesson in creative communication you should note down.

Why they made the finals

“What is so special about this video? It looks like all your other ones” I hear you say, but that is precisely the point.

You see, we didn’t film this, Explorer did after just one day of training with us. A surprise result on par with when you find a £10 note in the back pocket of a pair of jeans you just washed and somehow it survived. 😁

Although editing plays a large part in a video, it’s not the most important. The script and delivery have to work first, so the team have done a great job of putting it together.

We just added the finishing touches.

Why they made the finals

Deep down, most businesses we come across have a dream of creating an online business that generates repeat revenue from selling a course or their own expertise. Its tough, very tough.

Value Rater, however, has done this in the horse racing industry by providing tips. The problem is, the industry has a few shady characters in who are trying to do the same thing and have given it a bad name.

Value Rater’s business has been flying, and through partnering up with Bath Racecourse, they’ve been able to create a video that not only shows off the vision, values and man behind the whole thing but give the online platform a new level of credibility.

Merely seeing the sponsorship and partnership gives online sceptics, another slap around the face with the trust stick. As a result, their videos are already witnessing the highest conversions they’ve seen online. Go video!
