Who are they? A supplier of Care beds and equipment
Goal: To dramatically cut travel and training times using how to videos
Stage of the pipeline: Training/support
Number of videos produced with BFB so far: 6+
Potential traps: Creating long training videos with the assumption people will watch the whole thing. Break you training in to small chunks and you viewer will digest it like the chapters of a well written novel.
Who are CitySprint?: A national logistics firm
Goal: To improve internal comms and training across the nation
Stage of the pipeline: Training/comms
Videos produced with BFB so far: 35+
Potential traps: Thinking that just because people work for you they are going to watch what you send them. Take the time and effort to have some fun with training and comms so your viewers want to watch the next one and soak up all that yummy info.
Who are they? A leaflet distribution franchise
Goal: To provide a bank of online training for their franchisees
Stage of the pipeline: Training/Support
Potential traps: Not chunking the training into manageable amounts. Training ought to be digestible over a number of videos rather than one monster video. Ten minutes is an absolute maximum even for complex training subjects, we’ve found. Go for shorter with the effort put into being focussed tightly on a sequence of modules (and nothing more) as Jeff has done.
